Frequently Asked Questions
EVA Foam is a firm closed-cell material that is often used for packaging goods during shipping, due to its excellent shock absorption properties. However, when used between your switches and PCB, it typically produces a resulting sound that is less hollow and slightly quieter.
We offer a premium EVA Foam that is permanently antistatic, so you don't risk destroying your keyboard using common packaging materials. Our Foam Pads are 0.5mm in thickness – thick enough to produce a noticeable difference, but not too thick to where fit and compatibility become an issue.
Compared to PE Foam, EVA Foam is denser and will typically provide a quieter and less poppy sound to your keyboard.
