Frequently Asked Questions
Your stabilizers produce unwanted rattling / ticking sounds for usually two reasons:
- There is too much play in the area where the stab bar inserts into the stem hole.
- There is too much play in the area where the stab bar clips into the housing.
By using an extremely thick grease in these areas, you can essentially reduce this play and therefore reduce unwanted noises being produced.
This grease is far too thick for lubing switches, springs, or stab housings with. A proper lube job is supposed to result in a buttery smooth sound and feel - using this grease will very likely end up with a mushy, gunky one instead.
We source our XHT-BDZ grease directly from Miller-Stephenson. We believe that sourcing from a reputable distributor located in the USA not only ensures you are receiving a genuine product, but also one that has not been exposed to harsh environments due to overseas shipping.
